The Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) for a fund, where this is applicable, i.e. for a FCP. The Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) code is designed to create a global reference data system that uniquely identifies every legal entity or structure, in any jurisdiction, that is part of a financial transaction. The 20 digit alpha numeric code is constructed as follows: Local Operating Unit (4 characters) - Reserved characters (2) - Entity Identifier (12) - Verification ID (2).
