OFST410040 – Redemption Reference Basis
Indicates whether the redemption information data refers to the trade date or the valuation date of the share class.
Trade Date: The date on which an investor’s order is executed and recorded. It represents the point of transaction agreement but does not imply legal transfer of ownership or cash settlement. Can also be referred to as dealing date. Valuation Date (NAV Date): The cut-off date when the fund’s assets and liabilities are valued to calculate the Net Asset Value (NAV) per unit. Can also be referred to a NAV date.
Note: In some contexts - particularly in private markets - the term "Dealing Date" may be used interchangeably with "Trade Date." However, "Trade Date" is the more commonly used and generalized term across fund types.
More information on subscription/redemption information can be found in the white paper at https://openfunds.org/knowledge/whitepapers/execution-fields-notification- and-settlement/.
