OFST020001 – Financial Instrument Identifying Data
Identification of the fund, share class, or segregated account for data transmission purposes only. This field is intended exclusively for use in regulatory and industry reporting transmissions, such as those defined by FinDatEx, and must be used in conjunction with field OFST020002 “Financial Instrument Type of Identification Code”.
Use the following priority: - ISO 6166 code of ISIN when available - Other recognised codes (e.g.: CUSIP, Bloomberg Ticker, Reuters RIC) - Code attributed by the undertaking, when the options above are not available. Code must be unique and kept consistent over time.
This field is not intended for data storage. For storage purposes, openfunds recommends maintaining identifiers in their dedicated identifier fields, as a single fund or share class is typically associated with multiple identifiers simultaneously (e.g. OFST020000 ISIN, OFST020005 CUSIP, OFST020010 Valor, OFST020015 WKN, etc.).
